Manifest with Jems pt 1
It’s been said that sex is like manifestation – a creative act that yields something different. Sex and manifestation are both portals into life.
I EXPAND MY COMFORT ZONES.
I FIND MY PEOPLE.
The manifestation statements shared in this article are inspired by needs and desires Jems has been hearing on social media, in art, from our confidantes, and communities – as within us. They are a collection of guiding principles, spiritual habits, and wishes people seek to be fulfilled. Maybe some resonate with you?
I EXPERIENCE MULTIPLE DURATIONAL SENSATIONAL ORGASMS.
I RECEIVE THE REPLIES MY THIRST TRAPS ARE FISHING FOR.
I STUDY MY TURN ONS (AND OFFS).
I ATTRACT AND ENCOURAGE ETHICAL TOPS.
Never presuming to speak for all, these manifestations are an offering for you to play with and repurpose. Even our tips on how to work with manifestation aren’t prescriptive. They are simply observations on what has worked for some people.
There are many ways to practice manifestation. One school of thought suggests that after you state your intention – repeating a mantra like ‘I find my people’ – you let the thought go, letting the universe (or your unconscious) take care of the request. The idea is that if we grip too hard on the idea of what we desire, it’ll never come to life. Like shielding a seedling from light. Or it's like, if we're obsessed with an ideal, we might not recognize its real life incarnation when it presents itself to us.
I DARE MYSELF TO FALL FOR SOMEONE WHO’S ACTUALLY AVAILABLE.
I UNLEARN MY INTERNALIZED FEMMEPHOBIA - TRANSPHOBIA - QUEERPHOBIA - HOMOPHOBIA - SEXISM - RACISM - COLORISM - CLASSISM - CYNICISM - ABLEISM - FATPHOBIA - LOOKISM - AGEISM - MENTALISM - SEXPHOBIA - FETISHIZATION - FEAR - SHAME...
I ACKNOWLEDGE MY FEARS.
Another school of manifestation says: You can’t just ask for something then sit around doing nothing and expecting a return. After you set your intention, you must set forth on making it happen. Manifestation is prayer in action, and action as prayer. You must practice intentional action.
Our experience is that both approaches can be true and useful. Knowing which mode to employ (and when and how to do both at the same time) is part of the art of manifestation.
I HEAL FROM MY ADDICKTION TO HOOKUP APPS.
I RELEASE THE SHAME THAT BINDS ME.
I CHECK IN WITH MY COMMUNITY - FRIENDS - FAMILY - SELF.
I COME HOME TO MY BODY. I AM EMBODIED.
I PRACTICE COURAGE, HUMILITY, HONESTY, PLAYFULNESS, GENEROSITY, AND GRACE IN MY EXPLORATION OF NON-MONOGAMY.
I REMEMBER MY INNER WISDOM.
Whatever mode you're practicing in, manifestation is about feeling supported and about working with the material of the world. Manifestation is connected to faith in one’s own agency and/or a higher power. On Jems social, we’re expanding on the meaning of these manifestations and sharing tips on how to work with them.
