Absolutely. Every Jems condom undergoes electronic air-burst, dimensional, and leak testing before it leaves the factory. Classified as a Class II medical device, our condoms are FDA-cleared in the U.S. and fully compliant with Health Canada’s Medical Device Regulations. Condoms remain one of the safest, most effective forms of birth control and STI protection—using one can make sex up to 10,000 times safer against HIV transmission.

Latex allergies are rare (under 1% of people, per the Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America). If you’re allergic, avoid latex products, including condoms. Jems is currently latex-only, but a non-latex option is on our roadmap—stay tuned.

One size, plenty of stretch. Each standard fit condom is 180 mm long (pre-stretch) with a 15 mm reservoir tip and a straight-sided width of 53 mm ± 2 mm.

No method is 100 % effective, which is why we talk about safer sex. Used correctly and consistently, condoms dramatically cut the risk of many STIs (chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis) and reduce HIV transmission by up to 98 %. Get tested every six months—or between partners—because some infections show no symptoms.

When used consistently and correctly, condoms are a highly effective protection against many sexually transmitted diseases and infections (STDs and STIs) such as chlamydia, gonorrhea and trichomoniasis – reducing the risk of HIV transmission by up to 98%. This is done by providing a protective barrier from skin-to-skin contact and preventing the exchange of bodily fluids (such as semen). Condoms also reduce the exchange of irritating bacteria.

We recommend you educate yourself on the different kinds of STDs and STIs. Since some STD/STIs have no symptoms, you could have one, not know it, and potentially pass it on to your partner(s). If you’re sexually active, regular STD/STI check-ups are highly recommended, every six months or between partners – ask your doctor or research local sexual health clinics. Many clinics around the world offer free anonymous STD and STI testing. There’s no shame in getting tested. Monitoring your sexual health protects not only you, but any potential partner(s).

Just the essentials: natural rubber latex and 100% silicone lubricant. Trace amounts of non-GMO cornstarch and magnesium carbonate help during manufacturing. 

What you won’t find? Nonoxynol-9, a spermicidal detergent that can cause inflammation and infection; glycerin, a preservative popular in warming and flavored lubes that offers no protective benefits and may increase risks of yeast infections; cancer causing parabens; casein, a milk protein; and benzocaine, a topical anesthetic which can cause irritation and inflammation.
